The "SUNPLACES IV" has everything for having fun and excitement on the water. Great storage everywhere and very attractive interior and exterior. Many upgrades in [removed phone] and 2009. One of only 7 vessels made by Hatteras. This vessel has the much sought after "Lauderdale Lady" package. Very economical cruise and excellent economy at high speed. Not your common 13 knots cruise speed but a true 18 knot cruise with a 21 knot top end.The owner of "SUNPLACESIV" is the kind of person you want to buy a yacht from. He fixes everything before it breaks and wants his yacht in "like new" condition including the areas not visible on a daily basis. This is by far the cleanest best maintained Hatteras on the market.
Vessel Walkthrough
**Extensive Refit [removed phone] Four staterooms and 4 heads very attractively decorated in earth tones providing a pleasant relaxed ambiance. All the carpets drapes bedspreads shams are high end quality materials. There are marble floors in the heads a surround sound system and new stainless steel appliances. The main deck starts forward at the pilothouse that has port and starboard wing doors a settee for the helm seat and a custom stainless steelspiral staircase to the flying bridge. Immediately aft is the "on-deck" galley to port. A large dinette is to starboard. There is excellent storage plenty of counter space and lots of natural light through the large windows on both sides. Stepping aft is the huge salon decorated in off white and black professionally done and attractive new cornices. Forward to starboard is the full bar with wine cooler sink and glass bottle storage. Above that is the new flat screen TV and Yamaha sound system. To port is the glass top dining table that surrounds (and hides) the stairwell leading down to the master stateroom. This table seats six comfortably with new chairs. A full length mirror on the forward wall adds to the feeling of spaciousness. The aft windows are also new and the aft wall is mirrored. The salon seating is provided by two matching built in custom couches; one on each side of the boat with a variable height Plexiglas coffee table in the middle. There are side tables at the forward ends of these couches each with a lamp. Loose black pillows and off white pillows float around on the couches. There are matching valences and new blinds for all the windows. Aft in the center is the access door to the cockpit and swim platform. Cockpit has (2) dock boxes and a new freezer for trips to the islands. Some of the major features of "SUNPLACES IV" include extra fuel a cockpit built at the factory not the usual add-on most commonly seen. There are roughly1200 hours on the port engine and 130on the starboard enginesince being re-built (extensive refit 2008 & 2009). There are two generators; one 20KW and one 21KW (new three years ago). Another feature is the radar mast that can easily be hydraulically lowered to allow passage through the Erie Canal to the Great Lakes. Many other additional features make "SUNPLACES IV" an exceptional offering including: KVH5 (new) satellite TV a Boston Whaler with a 40 HSP Yamaha. There are many new pieces of gear including8 AC units fresh batteries and a custom entertainment center. Speakers for the stereo system are throughout the boat. All electronics are new including (2) Raymarine E120 Simrad Auto Pilot . New engine Heaters and extensive engine updates were completed as well. All new canvas new glass and new cushions all windows and decks newly painted with Awlgrip. The Flybridge is more than spacious with a wet bar and counter at the base of the signal mast with four bar stools mounted at a convenient height. A separate refrigerator and ice maker are on the bridge. There are two helm seats in front of the steering console. Aft is seating for 10 to 12 people on fiberglass benches that wrap around in a U-shape. These all have storage. Behind that is the Boston Whaler and davit.
Accommodations
Access is from the curving stairwell on the starboard side of the pilothouse. At the bottom of the stairs to starboard is a Captain's dinette that can sleep two more people (if needed.) Opposite is a double guest cabin with criss-cross upper and lower berths and its adjoining head with shower. All the way forward is another double stateroom with single berths and an adjoining head. Both of these are completely furnished with drapes liners pillows carpeting and personal items. The forward double stateroom also includes a TV. The VIP full width stateroom is down three more steps and set to port. There is a queen size berth a settee to port a night stand with a lamp and lots of storage. There is a television with a VCR unit. The head isensuite to starboard. The very private Master is all the way aft past the two separate engine rooms. This is a wonderfully large well planned room with its own private head (and tub) many drawers and an adjoining huge cedar lined closet. A safe and Owner's private refrigerator is installed in this closet . There is a new king size custom folding mattress & pillow top. There is a new flat screen television port and starboard night stands with lamps and a large settee to port; all beautifully decorated. There are drapes pillow shams valences custom lighting and complete privacy from the rest of the boat. This stateroom can be accessed down the stairwell located in the salon behind the dining table.

Cockpit
Full beam of the yacht with a transom door and gate to the swim platform. The entire inside of the coaming has a new white bolster (including the gate) and new paint. Two fiberglass deck boxes are positioned against the forward bulkhead. A huge lazarette is accessed by a hatch in the sole. Two newly refurbished spare nibral props in lazarette.
